Formed in 1972, Kiss are one of the great US Rock bands having sold over 80 million records worldwide. The classic line up of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss brought glamour to the stage with makeup and costumes, as well as explosive live shows. They have made 19 studio albums, as well as 8 live albums, and it was one of these live albums that brought them success. ‘Alive’ was the breakthrough which led on to big success in the 70’s. After a lull in the late 70’s and early 80’s Kiss returned in fine style in with 85’s ‘Asylum’ and 87’s ‘Crazy Nights’.
