Cited as the best album from the Rolling Stones’ career, as well as seen as one of the great rock albums of all time, “Exile On Main Street” is reissued and remastered with previously unheard tracks. It also coincides with the “Stones In Exile” docuementary. Originally released in 1972 “Exile On Main Street” is steeped in the kind of history that is destined to create great albums. Having fled the UK for tax reasons, the Stones headed to France where they built a studio in a villa then thanks to drug and personal problems they embarked on a somewhat disjointed recording process and ended up with a masterpiece of a double album. The reissue is something for all the Rolling Stones collectors as well, and if you are new to the band then this is a hell of place to start your collection.
