I discovered Ke$ha in the middle of last year when she was just about to take off with her first ever single 'TiK ToK'. The song was free to download from her official site for a while, so I downloaded it to discover a fantastic, funky and addictive song that was set to be huge everywhere in the world. Because of Tik Tok and other reviews I decided to purchase the album and it was well worth my money.

Nearly every song is different to the other, but is still polished and finished to perfection. The strongest songs include 'You Love Is My Drug' an awesome opening to the album, obviously 'TiK ToK' the danciable single, 'Take It Off' the very electro track, 'Blah Blah Blah' featuring the awesome 3OH!3, 'Blind' a mid-tempo masterpiece with catchy lyrics, 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' another awesome mid-tempo track that highlights Ke$ha's vocal abilitys and 'Animal' a slight more than mid-tempo song to finish the almost masterpiece. Though some tracks are not as good and aren't really hits, but aren't album fillers either. Because of this the album get's 4 stars and it deserves a place in your CD collection!

When this CD came out, I knew I had to get it, since I was already a fan of "Tik Tok". And Ke$ha didn't disappoint me, every track is filled with energy and attitude. Her voice is very special, so every song is like half spoken, half sung. And she's got writing talent. Her writing is similar to Taylor Swift (although their genres are TOTALLY different), it's like story-telling, so it's very personal (for example, "Stephen" is about a guy whom she used to stalk, "Party at a rich dude's House" is about the time she threw up in Paris Hilton's closet.....), but can still be related easily. And she doesn't just write sassy dance songs, she even writes emotional break-up songs ("Dancing with tears in my eyes", or "Blind" or "Hungover"). They're not the kind of song that can make you cry, but they're still very meaningful.
I don't want to pick out my favourite since in this CD, I really love every song. I can listen to it all day long (when I have time), or I can go on a long trip with only this album on my mp3 player.
However, you should consider before buying this album. Because it uses a lot of autotune, most of these songs are uptempo or midtempo. If you're a fan of Gaga, I will definitely recommend this. But if you like acoustic and hate autotune, maybe this is not the one for you. Check out the single "Tik Tok", though. If you like it then 90% you'll like the whole album. Country fan may also like this one because of the similar writing style.

In conclusion, I'm glad I didn't miss this album. Although it's only January, I still don't think any other album will beat this to be the best of 2010. Yes, that's how I like it.

Filled with some highly contagious dance/pop songs. Down the same track as Lady GaGa, equally entertaining. Just some great pop music. Best tracks: Take It Off, Your Love Is A Drug and Dinosaur.

I bought the album on the strength of the debut single 'Tik Tok' and was rewarded with a CD filled with tracks along the same lines, yet each individual enough to not become samey..

Ke$ha's lyrics paint a seedy picture but lead you wanting to hear more, and the pop rock sound is perfect for raucous parties or rocking out in the car.

A great album for teenagers, backstaber is a great song as is tik toc. Quite up beat and mainly for a pop/R&B audience but great all the same.

If you has checked Ke$ha out on some of her tv appearences, listened to the first single "TiK ToK" and watched the video. You think she is a MESS! It is some of her personality. But this album is crazy HOT! She really is a great songwriter and the album is just such fun! She also has some unexpected great ballads! Like "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes", "Blind", "Hungover"! The album doesn`t have any bad tracks. Every single song could be a smash on the charts! But it has some super hot tracks other than "TiK ToK", which are going to rule the charts when/if they get released as singles! Like: "Your Love Is My Drug", "Kiss N Tell", "Blah Blah Blah", "Hungover", "Backstabber", "Blind", "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" & "Party At A Rich Dude's House" where Ke$ha tells about a party at Paris Hiltons house where she threw up in the closet! This album are going to rule the charts in a long time! GO GET THE ALBUM!
